Andy Murray to Donate to UNICEF For Every Ace He Serves

Right before his big Davis Cup match against Australia this weekend, Andy Murray has declared that he will donate £50 to UNICEF for every ace that he hits the rest of the year. In case you don’t know, UNICEF works to support and protect children all over the world who are caught in political, cultural, or natural turmoil.

While watching the conflict in Syria and the dangerous trek to Europe that many families are being forced to travel, Murray realized that he had to do something to help when he had the resources to do it. That’s when he came up with his ace idea, to get the word out and provide donations and support to UNICEF.

The project isn’t stopping with just Murray though. The ATP, the LTA, and the Brit’s partner Standard Life have all committed to matching Murray’s donation. He is even reaching out to all of his fans worldwide, saying, “I’m also asking my fans across the world to join with me to and support Unicef’s vital work. Together we can help make a safer world for every child.” UNICEF’s work is too important to only rely on one man and his serving capabilities.
