About Stephanie
I should have given up after my first season. I went 1-14 in USTA play, and that won victory was an illness default. The girl never even showed up to the court. But I loved the game and loved spending the time learning it with my dad, and later my private coach Dario. I later became quite good, going all the way from No. 2 varsity doubles my freshman year to No. 1 singles my junior and senior year. I’m originally from northern Indiana. My first job was teaching tennis at a park outside of Notre Dame from beginners to intermediates. I played club tennis at Indiana University and was on the traveling team. And I’d love to continue playing and teaching now that I’ve moved to Cleveland.
Teaching Experience: 2 years
Teaching Style
I love being able to teach the sport, break down a stroke or a strategy, while also keeping it fun. Small groups or individual workouts are perfect to be able to help someone learn more and not just feel like they’re lost in a class just hitting a shot, rotating and changing nothing. I also think muscle memory is important so I do a lot of drills to build consistency.
