Fabio Fognini has a history of antics on and off the court, and he hasn’t changed. His game is as erratic as his temperament and I for one can not help but love him for it. In a game where serene and mild mannered professionals such as Roger Federer are lauded and over the top and outspoken players such as Kyrgios are demonized, Fognini somehow just comes off as hilarious.
In his opening round match-up he came back from two sets down against Teymuraz Gabashvili to eventually win the match. A comeback from two sets down should be all the highlight you need, but his performance was so much more than just good tennis. The match was not without controversy and after the match when speaking with Italian reporters he said in reference to some supposed bad calls, “They have their rules. You know, the Americans are different in every way. Of the four Slams, this, as far as I’m concerned, is the worst — for a number of reasons.” Here are some of the other highlights.

Just watched Fognini remove the sunglasses of a linesman and get a point penalty. He makes me feel good about my on court temperament
