About Adam
I’m passionate about all things tennis. I have years of tournament experience and played college tennis at Johns Hopkins University. I have taught at racket clubs in the tri-state area and have even worked with children and adults in the Netherlands and Germany. I have taught players of all ages, genders, and levels and have even had the opportunity to train under some of the best coaches in the world. I understand that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to the game and that it’s all about finding the right style of play that works for the individual. I like to stress fundamentals, because these are the foundational elements that become the building blocks for your game for life. I watch tons of tennis, so I always know what’s going on on the ATP tour, I love gear so I’m very knowledgeable about equipment (strings, grips, rackets, etc.), and I also have a ton of great tennis-specific fitness drills in my back pocket at any given time. I also write about tennis on my site www.mysideofthenet.com. Thank you for visiting my page and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Teaching Experience: 5 years

Teaching Style
I’m very good at fixing mechanics and emphasizing fundamentals. I emphasize footwork and court positioning as well as making smart shot selections. I structure my lessons around working on a particular stroke with some fed-ball drills and then work into live ball situations where you are able to execute strategies you would use in a match. I always like to work some serving into a lesson, because that is the only shot where YOU control the point. I also have a number of footwork drills and on court conditioning drills that can help you become a better player. At the end of the day, it’s about achieving your personal goals, so I can help tailor this approach to the individual.

Hobbies
I’m a movie fanatic, music lover and a foodie. I’m also interested in following what goes on in the start-up world and new tech trends. I love playing other sports as well like basketball, soccer, squash, and table tennis, have run a half marathon, and enjoy the occasional yoga class.
