About Brianna
I started playing tennis on my junior varsity team in 8th grade. I loved it so I continued playing. I became the no. 1 player for my sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. My teammates and I won the district championship for our high school, John I. Burton, in Norton, VA, for the first time in more than 15 years. I received all-district honors for my junior and senior season. I continued my career in tennis and am now finishing up my fourth season at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise. I have been the number 1 player for the team since my junior season. I have won many singles, doubles, and mixed doubles tournaments. I received a recognition letter for winning all three titles in the UVA-Wise tournament by Mark Warner. I started giving lessons in the summer of 2011. I also started a tennis camp with my sister for children of all ages. 40-Love tennis camp is a three day camp in which we take the skill level of each child and progressively evaluate and improve their knowledge and ability as well as help them find their love for the game. Our mission is to grow the love of tennis and demonstrate how this lifetime sport can keep you healthy.

Teaching Experience: 5 years

Teaching Style
My lesson structure depends on each player’s skill level. I emphasize good attitude, good work habits and effort. As long as the person I am teaching is participating to their upmost ability and has a good attitude, I am satisfied. I also make sure my students enjoy the game, so I try to make it fun for them. I go by the following statement:”Tennis starts with love.” In order to be good at tennis and continue playing, one must love and respect the game.

Hobbies
I am a Christian and love God and his many blessings he has given me and my family. I love playing all sports. I was all-district in basketball as well as tennis. I love the outdoors. I also enjoy listening to country music.
