About Byram
Hi, I’m Byram and I have been PTR Pro Certified for the last eight years and am currently the head tennis pro at Pine Acres Swim and Tennis Club in Wethersfield in the summer and was for the past seven years at Newington Tennis Center in the winter. I have been playing tennis for the last 28 years and was ranked as high as no. 2 in juniors in North Africa when I was 14. I love everything about tennis especially teaching it to beginners. I have been a coach for the last 12 years and I do everything, including directing USTA tournaments, running USTA junior teams, preparing high school prospects who want to make their team and stringing racquets. I’ve worked in many prestigious clubs and resorts such as West Hartford Golf Club, Burning Tree Country Club in Greenwich, Field Club in New Canaan and Seaview in Fire Island.

Teaching Style
I use many methods and tools to teach and coach players. For example: low compression balls and small net for students 10 and under. My lesson plans include fitness, technic, mechanics and strategy. I strongly encourage my students to play as often as possible by connecting them with other players.
