About Carl
My passion for tennis during my adolescent years allowed me to grow both leisurely and professionally. Tennis, a very popular sport in the Caribbean, is restricted to only private country club members. Determined to learn this great sport, I trained alone and later had the opportunity to train with coaches learning different techniques styles. This then exposed me to the challenging world of tournaments including the ITF Junior tournaments, Davis Cup, Futures and Panamerican games. The more I played the game and mastered my skills , the higher I wanted to climb on the ladder of becoming the best player, hence this drive and passion permitted me to enter Florida’s top best three players. Furthermore, the same desire exposed me to a similar result in Vancouver and Montreal, Canada. Tennis also opened other doors from which I enrolled into becoming an instructor, obtaining certifications in both Canada and the United States including but not limited to USPTA Professional Level 1, U
STA Certified High Performance Coach and frequent updates by attending seminars.
Teaching Experience: 16 years
Teaching Style
I believe in a cooperative coaching style, which is a stepping stone for leadership through structure definition as well as allowing for instructor/player interaction.
Hobbies
One of my favorite hobbies is cooking. I thoroughly enjoy it for I have the chance to reinvent and create delicious dishes. In addition, one of the most recent sports that I enjoy is skiing in the winter, bike riding and playing soccer in both the spring and summer. Skiing surely can be challenging but it is fun and interesting.
