About Christopher
I am Christopher, and I am the head tennis coach at An Achievable Dream Academy in Newport News. I have been playing tennis for 13 years, and started at An Achievable Dream Academy. In high school, I played for Heritage, where we were among the top teams in the district/region each year. Also, I was a four-year starter on the tennis team at Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, NC. There, we won the 2013 CIAA tennis championship. I have a lot of experience working with adults and children of all ages and skill levels. I have worked with the City of Newport News’ tennis program, with the city of Winston-Salem’s Community Tennis Association, and in my current position as head tennis coach. These experiences have helped me grow me as a coach, and influenced my coaching style.
Teaching Experience: 4 years
Teaching Style
I am very big on conditioning, and being “tennis fit.” I structure my lessons by beginning with warm-up exercises and conditioning drills, followed by the lesson for the day and concluding with match/game play situations.
Hobbies
I love reading biography or self-help books. Also, I love listening to music that has great meaning, and spending time with my family!
