About Daniel
Hello! My name is Daniel and I have been involved in athletics my whole life. I play USTA tournaments to this day and compete at a 5.0 level. I attended college at Villanova University and since then I have worked with players of all ages and skill levels. As a tennis professional at Sportime, NY, I ran Quickstart classes as well as junior development and elite tournament training classes. I also have experience teaching adult tennis kinetics as well as private and group lessons. I believe in hard work, and rigorous fitness training to supplement the technical instruction.

Teaching Experience: 7 years

Teaching Style
My teaching style hits on three components: technique, footwork and mental tenacity. The structure of my lessons will vary depending upon the goals and needs of the player. For beginners I tend to use step-by-step and kinesthetic methods for technique, and will focus more on developing solid contact and feel for the ball, whereas for the intermediate and more advanced player I will focus more on ball placement, consistency, spin, shot selection, and power. I believe that all ages and skill levels should be working on fitness and enjoying the mental challenges of playing a match. Most of all, everyone’s journey in tennis should be a fun one and I believe that to be truly great at something you must enjoy doing it.

Hobbies
