About Eric
My background in tennis as a player and coach is extensive.
As a former player, I was ranked in the top 10 in the United States throughout my career. I achieved a ranking of no. 1 in Florida and no. 7 in the United States as an 18-year-old. I won many national tournaments, including Kalamazoo. The winners of this tournament also include Andre Agassi, Andy Roddick, Michael Chang and John McEnroe. I played college tennis at the University of Florida, where I won a SEC Championship in 1994. I started coaching in Atlanta, and have coached tour players such as Brian Vahalay, Bobby Reynolds and Scoville Jenkins. I currently am an independent coach, having moved here to direct the Cheval Athletic Club.
I teach in my subdivision, but am open to traveling to another set of courts. I am a teacher now and have developed a system of teaching beginners and intermediate tennis players that need technical direction and advice. As a high-end coach, I have coached many players who are succeeding in adult leagues, college teams, or USTA tournaments.
I can fill any need of any type player. I run junior academy drills that are available for adults, depending on skill level and fitness level. I have junior drills ranging from advanced to beginner.

Teaching Experience: 20 years

Teaching Style
My teaching style is detailed. I have figured out how to teach advanced concepts in a very easy 1-2-3 process. I tailor my lesson concepts to the skill set and needs of each player. Each player has a unique set of dynamics that lead you in a specific direction. Spending time with each player gives me insight as to which approach to take.

Hobbies
music, family, gardening
