About Freddy
I’m currently a police officer with the pentagon police department. I’ve been a police officer for 21 years and prior to that I spent seven years in the Marine Corps. I fell in love with the tennis many years ago while stationed in Japan in 1982. It wasn’t until 2000 that I started looking into being a tennis instructor and started to going to clinics and doing research on the techniques on hitting and match readiness. I spent a lot of summers going to the ATP events here in the D.C. area, and I also spent many summers attending the U.S. Open, studying each player’s techniques.

Teaching Experience: 10 years

Teaching Style
I’m a very hands on person because everyone learns differently. I emphasize repetition so that every shot comes naturally without thinking about it. My lessons usually start with a warm up and most of the lesson focuses on a particular stroke and the strategy hitting that stoke. I always like to finish each lesson working on the serve.

Hobbies
Besides tennis I enjoy working out three to four times a week.
