About Glenn
I was born and raised in Patchogue, New York (Long Island) and started playing tennis at age 9 at a public facility just three blocks from his home. I played for my junior high, high school and college teams where I was a varsity letterman for my high school and college (Slippery Rock University of PA) teams. My teaching career began in 1991 while working at the Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, FL, soon after I became a certified USPTA Pro 1. In 1992 I left New York and moved out West. For the past 22 years while in Texas and Arizona I have held the Director of Tennis Position at the El Paso Country Club, Troon Country Club and Carefree Resort & Conference Center. In the the spring of 2014 I finished my ninth season coaching the boys and girls tennis teams at Valley Lutheran High School. I have also held many positions on the Southwest Division Board as well as being the Southwest Conference Chairman for six years. In 2008 I was the recipient of the USPTA Southwest Division “Pro of the Year” and the 2009 USPTA Southwest Division “High School Coach of the Year.” Now after 22 years out West I have returned East to the Washington D.C. area and I am excited to teach you tennis.

Teaching Experience: 22 years

Teaching Style
I love to teach this lifelong sport and see the smiles on students’ faces when they learn something new or show improvement. Being patient with my students as well as making sure they are having fun while they’re learning is what I pride myself on. Each student is different and has different abilities — they maybe looking to get the rust off that old racquet, get in some hard core training or want to try tennis for the first time. I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to work with them and teach them a sport I love so much.

Hobbies
I enjoy golf, kayaking, sporting events and weekend getaways.
