About Henry
My name is Henry and I am from Sag Harbor, New York. I will be a senior at Bates College where I am captain of the varsity men’s tennis team and play in the third singles position. I am 20 years old and have been teaching here on the east end for the past 7 summers at various tennis clubs such as the Quogue Field Club, The Ross School Tennis Academy, and am currently directing the Five Star Tennis Camp at The Hampton Racquet Club in East Hampton.

Teaching Experience: 7 years

Teaching Style
Each individual lesson should be molded to the needs and wants of the customer. In a lesson I evaluate the player and then address, critique and build upon the stroke foundations of the player. If the player is new to the game I help the player to build that necessary foundation to move their game forward and up to the next level. The most important things to address while teaching and instructing a tennis lesson, no matter the age of the player is the player’s spacing with the ball, contact point and their stroke fluidity. My main goal however, is not only to help the player improve, but to share my enjoyment of the game of tennis and lead them through the process of getting better.

Hobbies
I am a Classical Studies Major and enjoy all sports, though I play only tennis for my college. I love to write and hope to eventually go into Television and Screen Writing in the future.
