About Jonathan
I am 22 years old and am a senior in college at Georgia State University. I started playing tennis my junior year in high school at Strong Rock Christian School in Locust Grove, GA. After graduation, I went on to play at Georgia Perimeter College where my team finished second in the nation for JUCO. As my college career has slowly come to an end, I have realized that I want pursue what I really love. This recent awareness has led me to start teaching tennis again and am really looking forward to meeting new students.

Teaching Experience: 4 years

Teaching Style
I specialize in teaching beginners, aspiring juniors and adults and can serve as a hitting partner with anyone who needs good competition. My lessons follow a prearranged structure containing five categories that vary based on the level of the player. However, no matter the level, the first category is always the same. Every lesson starts with two things: a warm-up (to physically and mentally prepare them for tennis) and a restoration of skill (to reinforce fundamental technique and game play strategy previously learned). After this, I explain a situation and which shot is the appropriate response. Then I evaluate the student on their efficiency and effectiveness and explain what can be done to better assess the situation. I conclude the session by practicing the shot once again and having a cool down.

Hobbies
I love tennis, basketball, baseball and soccer. I recently fell in love being outside, whether that is kayaking, hiking, swimming, spelunking or going to the park.
