About Kevin
Tennis was just something you did at a young age in my family. Growing up, I spent my summers in Nike Tennis Camps and country clubs, playing tournaments and conditioning. By high school, it was a year-round thing: conditioning, women’s team assistant coach, captain, no. 1 singles on the men’s team, and teaching tennis at a local country club. My main job in college was a supervisor at the Golf & Tennis Center, and I ran the tournaments there. Now I just play for fun and for exercise, and love teaching beginners or anyone interested in getting to a more competitive level.

Teaching Style
You can’t play competitive tennis without the right footwork, and you can’t start really beating your opponent until you understand where you should be on the court and how to play more offensive rather than defensive. I like to emphasize the following: using your legs the right way, knowing where to hit the next shot, knowing where your opponent is going to hit the ball, swinging through the ball on groundstrokes and using correct form. Tennis is part mental too, so we’ll discuss that in certain lessons as well.
