About Maya
My name is Maya Borowczak and I am attending Cornell University. I have been playing tennis for the majority of my life and have been on the varsity tennis team throughout my years in high school. I was the captain of my team and I have earned the title of “player of the year,” county champion, state sectional champion, state quarterfinalist, all county first team, first team all league, and first team all North Jersey.
I have a lot of experience teaching tennis to children, juniors and adults of all levels (beginner (1.0,1.5 on the NTRP tennis rating scale), intermediate (2.0, 2.5), and high school level (3.0, 3.5, 4.0)). I have coached and am a coach at numerous summer camps and tennis programs including Mahwah Tennis, Parkridge Tennis Academy, Lifeplex Tennis, recreational clinics and more. I will be offering private lessons for 35$/hour and group lessons 25$/person/hour for any age and ability at the Rockland Community College tennis courts. Whether your focus is on stroke mechanics, on tactics and match play to refine your play in both singles and/or doubles, organized matchplay/round robins, or just to learn a pasttime that lasts forever, I am certain that I can assist.
