About MIKE
After playing three years of college tennis in the late 80s, I decided to start teaching tennis at age 27. After a few years of learning the trade I decided to pursue other projects. A few years later, I found myself back on the courts competing and coaching the game I loved. In recent years, I was asked to coach one of the premier high school tennis programs and became the winningest coach in the schools history. I was named coach of the year in 2014. In 2011 I was asked to join the HEAD/PENN advisory group and have been a USPTA member since 2005. I continue to work with kids and adults through privates and the SCTA academies. I spent the last eight years working with nationally ranked players and helping develop a top notch tennis academy.

Teaching Experience: 20 years

Teaching Style
I have been lucky enough to work with great teachers through the years such as Peter Smith (USC) and Mitch Bridge (SCTA). Through them I have developed a style that is very different from most. With the spirit of the INNER GAME OF TENNIS and the competitive style of college tennis I have been able to produce some of the top juniors in Southern California as well as watch beginners grow into fantastic players.

Hobbies
Basketball, guitar
