About Nick
I am a 31-year-old USPTA Certified Head Coach originally from Southern California. I have been teaching tennis for 13 years in places such as Hawaii, New York, California, Vermont, Pennsylvania and most recently Charleston. As you can see I have traveled around a lot. I also went abroad for a year and helped teach tennis in London and Italy. Traveling has brought so much opportunity and growth to my teaching. I have been fortunate to be around many different styles and great tennis minds and have been able to mold everything I liked into my own. My teaching career highlights include being head coach of the 18 & Under Hawaii National Team and acting as a head cardio tennis instructor. As a player I was ranked top 10 in boys 18’s Southern California, was High School Division 1 Doubles Champion Southern California and played no. 1 singles and doubles for Bakersfield College.

Teaching Experience: 13 years

Teaching Style
I specialize in high performance training, cardio tennis, doubles strategy and player development. I emphasize goals. I really like to engage the student and ask questions. This is not about me. This is about them. I get to know what they like. Do they like a slow-paced learning environment or do they want to hit tons of balls and stay active ? You have to make it fun for the student and remember each person is different. I don’t believe in teaching every person the same way.

Hobbies
I love to travel. Sports are very important to me. I was a volleyball coach for junior high in California. I still play competitive volleyball, basketball and football.
