About Oscar
Hi, my name is Oscar. I’m originally from San Diego, CA, and I grew up playing year round in the juniors playing competitively. I also played a little in college and finally took the dive and taught at the Balboa Tennis Club as well as private lessons. By 2005 I found the woman of my dreams and married and moved to the Island of Enchantment, AKA Puerto Rico, where I honed my bilingual skills and enjoyed playing and teaching in the Caribbean sun. I now live in Northern Virginia where I have the privilege of getting to know and experience another part of the world.

Teaching Style
I definitely take the approach that tennis or any sport, whether it is recreational or competitive, should be as enjoyable/rewarding as it is challenging. I believe in building up the person yet giving an honest assessment of the progress. For me, the ultimate goal is health in all its forms.
Hobbies
I love to meet new people, play guitar, traveling and a good clean joke.
