About Paul
I am a tennis nut! I started teaching tennis when my sons were growing up (youngest earned a full ride at ODU). I loved teaching so kept on doing it in metro NYC/New England. While living in Annapolis, MD, I was an instructor at the Navy Tennis Camps, I was the junior varsity head coach at The Severn School and conducted group lessons at the Annapolis Area Tennis School, which I helped found. I also teach private and semi-private lessons at Truxtun Park in Annapolis, MD.

Teaching Style
My specialities include: correcting bad habits, emphasizing the “modern game,” and catering to senior players’ needs. My style is casual, friendly and emphasizes form, function and movement. I try to work one-on-one even with a small group; I always make it fun and memorable on the court. A typical lesson structure is as follows: introduction, discussion of individual objectives, short-court warmups, back court stroke examination, demonstration of corrective areas, feeding strokes or hitting, and giving further practice suggestions.
