About Paul
I am the President of Segodo Tennis Academy and a former Davis Cup player from Benin. I have provided tennis instruction for more than 10 years to hundreds of students of all ages. I continue to compete in tennis tournaments and instruct leading tennis players including Meghan Shaungnessy, who was 11th in the WTA professional tour. I succeed for a number of reasons. Students recognize that I have a passion for tennis and a very disciplined and personalized approach to developing all aspects of the game, including volleying, net play, serves and many other aspects necessary to advance a student’s playing level. I am USPTA and PTR certified.

Teaching Experience: 11 years

Teaching Style
I go beyond the fundamentals and develop both physical and mental strength. In training an elite player, we will work to develop the mind and body to self-sufficiency. As a practical matter, the game does not allow on-court coaching, and therefore, it’s important to develop players who can “think on their toes.” Along with developing a well-rounded and independent-thinking player, we often require that our players give 110 percent when training to demonstrate the importance of practicing the way you play.

Hobbies
Fitness, soccer, travel
