About Rick
Hi, my name is Rick. My objective is to develop motivate my team. I was the head pro at Ko Olina Beach and Sports Club in Kapolei, HI (2007 to 2012). My responsibilities are organization of all club tennis activities including clinics, group lesson programs, junior workouts, and tiny tots. I teach private lessons and doubles play instructs. I also was also previously the Recreation Program Specialist at the Amy Yee Tennis Center Seattle, WA (1993 to 2006). In 2006 we were named the United States Tennis Association Facility of the Year Award Tout of 6,000 other USTA member organizations. This was the ultimate honor that is a high industry standard to measure our total community service and impact. I was the USTA/PNW USPTA 2001 Pro of the Year where I was recognized as the tennis pro that excelled in forming partnerships and implementing programs for the United States Tennis Association as a representative of the United States Professional Tennis Association. I was selected as a 2007 Hawaii Pacific Section National Zonal Head coach for the top sectional boys and girls as the best in Hawaii to compete in the national 12 and under tournament and in 2009 was selected as a Hawaii Pacific Section National Zonal Head coach for the top sectional boys and girls (Tucson, AR). I also coached the Seattle Parks and Recreation United States Youth Games Tennis Team in national tournaments in New York (1996) and Houston (1998). My certifications include the USPTA Professional 2 Rating Certification, USTA Large Group Instruction and School Clinician Certified, USTA Recreation Coaches Workshop, and USTA National Tennis Teachers Conference Education.
