About Rodrigo
Hi, my name is Rodrigo. I’m originally from Mexico City and I started to play tennis at 8 years old. I traveled to Memphis on a scholarship before transferring to Columbia State Community college where I earned 2 doubles titles in the region. I finished my degree on a full ride at North Greenville College where I was ranked as high as 18 in the country in doubles for NAIA schools earning us the opportunity to play Nationals in Tulsa Oklahoma. Over the years I have taught in Mexico as well as having the pleasure to teach under coach Paul Scarpa at Furman University for 4 years.
Teaching Experience: 5 years
Teaching Style
Warm up and a little conditioning. Depending on the level of experience it may dictate different approaches. A lot of technique, repetition and accuracy, and correcting as we go. Drills for footwork improvement will be a big part of the lesson and maybe at the end a fun game to relax.
Hobbies
Guitar, riding motorcycles.
