About Ross
My name is Ross. I’m 31 years old. I have been playing competitive tennis since the age of 16. I played three years of varsity tennis in high school and played collegiate tennis at Oklahoma Baptist University. While at Oklahoma Baptist as a freshman, I led the team in singles and doubles wins. I also am the only player in Oklahoma Baptist history to win 13 straight games in a single, best of 3 sets match. Since college, I’ve played in several different competitive tennis leagues such as USTA, USTA mixed, TCT Men’s, TCT Mixed, World Team Tennis, and regular tournaments in the Tulsa area. I also won the prestigious Tulsa Fall Open at the 5.0 level in 2012, not dropping a set in the tournament.

Teaching Experience: 7 years

Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching all ages. I emphasize smart and aggresive strategic play as well as smart shot selection depending on the point. I structure my lessons based on the time alloted as well as what the player needs to work on. I also conduct helpful drills that work all parts of the game. I also stress fitness and do fitness drills at various times since that is a part of the game not a lot of players think about.

Hobbies
I love spending time with my wife, my family and friends. I’m active in the church. I love baseball and hockey as well.
