About Spencer
I am originally from the Midwest where I learned tennis while training at the Rockford Clocktower Racquet Club in Rockford, IL. I played four years of varsity tennis in high school. I passed up playing for the Augustana College men’s team and took the opportunity to coach my high school alma mater. I continued to coach for 10 years in Illinois, Arizona and now here in Southern California. I currently work for the United States Tennis Association with the USTA Southern California section as the Orange County tennis service rep. I have conducted many on-court trainings as well as participated in numerous 10 & Under workshops, recreational coaches workshops and have a USTPA certification. Working for the USTA has given me the opportunity to learn best practices from tennis industry leaders from all across the country.

Hobbies
I love to play tennis and soccer. I enjoy watching football and basketball, going to the beach and surfing. I went to school to become a high school social studies teacher but never ended up doing that as a career. Being a high school tennis coach was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
