About William
My name is William, I am a half native of Colorado and California. I played tennis at the varsity high school level for Grandview Highschool in Colorado and at the collegiate level for Metro State University. I have taught professionally since I graduated college in 2007. I am certified USPTA P3, and USTA 10 and under. I have taught and learned with some of Colorado’s top instructors such as Cary Hodges[Arapahoe Tennis Club], Noah Tondre[Rolling Hills C.C] and Mark Taylor[Rocky Mountain Tennis] I currently live in the Metro Denver area and am accessible to most of Colorado’s areas and tennis courts. Most importantly I want tennis to grow in Colorado and to be fun. Tennis is hard, competitive but needs to be fun and that’s my goal: learn, listen and have fun.

Teaching Experience: 8 years

Teaching Style
I believe in a quality serve, fitness and consistent ground strokes. I believe in creating four pillars on teaching, solid groundstrokes, serve, footwork and volleys. These pillars can be used from beginners to advanced players. I structure my lessons on identifying a strength and weakness, then to work on each. I incorporate a technique for both to build and learn, then using live play and a game to finish. This can be used for group, private and semi-private lessons. Keeping things quick, simple and fun is my style. I believe in being positive, intense but creating a fun atmosphere.

Hobbies
I love surfing, volleyball, running, weightlifting, skiing, mountain biking, baseball and honestly any sport in general and, mostly my family. I love a good time, whether on the tennis court or over a good meal, hiking trail. I pride myself on fitness, love and having a good time, because isn’t that what life’s about: having fun, smiling and being positive.
