About Angus
My name is Angus MacLean and I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. I attended Pacific University in Stockton, Ca. obtaining a B.A. in communications and played on the Men’s tennis team all four year’s. Upon graduating from Pacific in 1988, I got certified to teach tennis by the USPTA. I have done almost everything in the tennis coaching industry. I have been a junior tennis director 3 times and a Director of Tennis once. I have coached all over the United States including 10 years here in Georgia. I am comfortable coaching any type of lesson you want. I have the experience to get you to achieve your tennis goals. I love coaching the game to anyone that is interested in learning! I hope to have the opportunity to coach you, your child or just a group of your friends.

Teaching Experience: 25 years

Teaching Style
When coaching adult team practice, I try and keep the group moving by hitting a lot of balls. However, I work a lot on doubles strategy as that is what most adults play. I work a little bit on technique @ team practice, but there are so many different type of players at team practice that I keep it simple. In private lessons I work really hard on their technique. I’m big into grips and using different spins. I try and teach the way the pros hit. Obviously they aren’t pros, but I think you can use some things the pros do.

Hobbies
I enjoy going to the beach, hanging with my dog Hunter and watching the San Francisco 49ers.
