About Anna
Hi, this is Anna, an Italian lady with a strong Italian accent, soft heart and friendly demeanor. I was born in Naples Italy, and have since moved to Jacksonville, Florida. After raising my family, I went back to school and graduated as a massage therapist and got an associate’s degree in personal training. In 2002 I was introduced to tennis. I picked up a racket and haven’t put it down since. I taught tennis to 12 and under children at Beaches Chapel private school for five years. I took my team from zero skills to undefeated in competition. I have worked as a TGA Tood Martin academic tennis lessons instructor and love every moment of this great job and great sport. My motto is tennis for life.
Tennis gives confidence to everyone, is a cooperative game, great sport and fantastic exercise to introduce to children in school or after school. Most of all, tennis is fun to learn, watch and play.
Teaching Experience: 5 years
Teaching Style
I focus on fundamentals, grips, groundstrokes with topspin, serve, volley and score. If you learn these basic skills you can play doubles or singles. Of course there is lots more to learn, but we will first learn how fun end enjoyable tennis can be and go from there.
Hobbies
My hobbies other then tennis are cooking homemade pasta and bread and anything healthy that goes with them. I love music and dance. Zumba is my favorite and I love to teach classes because they are great exercise and a great way to stay fit.
