About Ben
I’ve played tennis since I was very little and went up into the college level, playing for Bridgewater College for one year. I transferred to VCU last year and still continue to play at the club and USTA level. I have coached at Woodlake SRC and at ACAC in Midlothian as an associate professional.
Teaching Experience: 4 years
Teaching Style
My teaching style revolves mainly around application of skills. For a private, I like to focus on one or two skills at a time and then apply what is learned before moving to another skill. For semi-private and group sessions, I prefer to do only a little bit of drilling and do more games that help to develop skills.
Hobbies
I enjoy playing all sports, my main ones being tennis (of course), basketball, and soccer. Music wise, I listen to it all, but would say that classic rock is my favorite. I’m a big outdoors guy and love to keep the mood as light as possible, so don’t be surprised if I try to make jokes!
