About Carl
First and foremost, I love tennis, I love to play tennis, I love to watch tennis, and yes I love to teach tennis … Not long ago I taught my twins boys how to play tennis, and by the age of 12, they became very good tennis players, both ranked in the state, playing USTA Jr. Tennis tournaments, 12 and under. They were so good in tennis by the age of 12, that in seventh grade they played No. 1 and No. 3 singles for the high school varsity tennis team, my son losing that year to the top ranked high school tennis player in the state from Edina High School in the state sectionals.
Teaching Experience: 20 years
Teaching Style
I strongly emphasize proper hitting technique, teaching the student how to address the ball with a closed racket face, going low to high, for the perfect stroke, both on the forehand side and backhand side. My expertise is teaching the modern forehand, and can help anyone at any level figure it out in less than one hour. I can also help anyone who struggles with their slice, and or one-handed backhand improve their stroke overnight.
Hobbies
Published author, on the subject of Archaeology / Art History/ and Ancient Mythology.
