About Clayton
I’m originally from Northern Virginia and currently working toward my MBA at Bentley University. I have been playing tennis pretty much my whole life, even playing on the varsity team during my first year of college at Johns Hopkins University. As a junior player, I won the 2007 Virginia State Claycourt Championship in the B18s division. I am certified for Junior Development by the Professional Tennis Registry, but I also have experience working with adults. I have taught in academy, country club and summer camp settings, so I know how to connect with very different types of students.
Teaching Experience: 8 years
Teaching Style
My teaching style is very fluid, depending on what the student’s objectives are. After talking with the student about their goals and initially observing their strokes, I can then come up with a lesson plan to address their needs. Lessons will involve a variety of activities, including: fed-ball drills, live-ball drills, footwork exercises and serve analysis.
Hobbies
Huge NBA fan (Washington Wizards), viola player, reader (The Economist, Foreign Affairs, The Atlantic) and tea enthusiast
