About Allen
I am a retired high School and college teacher with more than ten years experience teaching tennis. I teach older adults, teens and children, either private one-on-one lessons, group and clinics. Whether it’s singles or doubles, learning strokes or hitting lessons, completely improving all aspects of your game or if you just want to work on footwork, court placement or strategies for your regular doubles match, I’m here to help! My rates are very reasonable and we can either play on the hard courts in my community, at a local public courts here in Delray Beach, or I can come to your courts. I often extend the time of lessons for free if time permits. I am available every day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. (weather permitting). See you on the court!
Teaching Experience: 10 years
Teaching Style
I teach all levels and types of players. I specialize in working with NTRP 2.0-4.0 players who want to improve their games, club doubles players and not-too-serious social players who want to get more out of their games and have fun. I teach by demonstration, mental images and repetition with suggestions, always with a positive attitude which helps my students to understand the techniques, footwork and court positioning skills they need to learn in order to improve their game.
Hobbies
I am prepare students for taking the SAT/ACT, and non-native English speakers to take the TOEFL/IELTS college entry exams. I love listening to live blues and jazz, studying Tae Kwon Do, and like to eat out and go to the movies.
