About George
Currently, I coach the boys tennis team at Middletown High School North, and girls at High School South. My 55+ team played in the National USTA 55+ mens 4.0 championship two years ago. I started my career coaching and teaching at Penn State University in 1976. I coached women and men at the Altoona Campus, PSU. We won several conference titles there. My twin daughters went on to play for the Altoona Campus when they won the NCAA Division III Regional Championship. I love the game and play three to four days a week. I started playing with wooden raquets and have continued to advance my own game over the years. I play USTA league matches throughout the year.
Teaching Experience: 35 years
Teaching Style
I do an initial assesment, make recommendations as to where to start, get feedback from the student and go from there. I want the student to be an active participant in planning out what they want to achieve and how we are going to do that. I use alot of humor and want the lessons to be enjoyable.
Hobbies
I have been involved in basketball, track decathalete and currently fly fish and work out regularly.
