About Ken
My name is Ken. I have been coaching high school tennis for 29 years. I am currently the Head tennis coach for Hackensack High School in NJ for both the girls and boys teams and have been at this position for 20 years. I was named Bergen County Tennis Coach of the Year after the Fall 2013 season. I, along with a partner, have developed and currently run the Comet Invitational Tennis Tournament for the past five years. Last summer, as well as the upcoming summer of 2015, I am the head tennis instructor for the Deerkill Day Camp. As a physical education and health teacher for the school year I am employed at the Hackensack Middle School for the past 21 years. My tennis teams have consistently qualified for the NJ state tennis tournament and I have helped guide a number of singles players and doubles teams to the NJ state tournaments as well.

Teaching Experience: 29 years

Teaching Style
My teaching style is to break down each skill to the point that the player can achieve immediate success. I try to enbale the player to understand what he/she needs to accomplish in terminology that he/she can comprehend. From there the foundation of each skill can be established and the player can then be challenged further. Continued reptition will enhance the player’s ability to play better. Adding fun contests that include tennis skills can be used to allow the player to use that skill in the actual game of tennis.

Hobbies
I am a NY Football Giants season ticket holder. I also enjoy watching and coaching basketball, baseball and softball.
