About Randy
I’m Randy. I’m a 28-year-old tennis player from Reno, Nevada, who makes a living teaching tennis professionally. I consider myself the luckiest person on earth.
I’m not rich, I don’t drive a fancy car (although I think my little truck is awesome) and I’m not famous. What I do have is a beautiful girlfriend, an awesome dog, a loving family, amazing friends, and a line of work that brings purpose to my life.
Teaching Experience: 9 years
Teaching Style
In order to develop your tennis game it is important you have a vision of how you see yourself as a tennis player in the future. In my experience, many players go out to play tennis but don’t have a game plan on how their practice and hard work is getting them closer to the future player they want to be.
I believe in working hard and working smart so that progress is being made. By taking the time to plan out your development you can allocate your time accordingly and be confident in your efforts. Each activity you do can be measured and adjusted to improve your effectiveness.
The vision of how you see yourself playing tennis in the future is the foundation for everything I teach my students. No matter the topic of discussion, the main points should be filtered through the lens that you see for your future self. For example, the training and diet for an attacking doubles player may and in my opinion should be different than that of a singles player that grinds out points on the baseline.
Hobbies
I love being active lifting weights, running, hiking, and going to the beach. I have a passion for business and you can find me listening to a business podcast and nerding out in my truck frequently.
