About Rixie
I started teaching tennis lessons almost 20 years ago through our local YMCA. I was trained by USTA in Washington, DC and have taught students tennis ever since. I teach group lessons, private and semi-private lessons. I run a tennis camp every summer and enjoy teaching kids and adults.
Teaching Experience: 19 years
Teaching Style
I try to make the lessons fun and give the children a good workout. My lessons consist of stretching, hand-eye coordination games. Then we focus on a specific stroke, demo, practice then play a game reinforcing the stroke I just introduced. Usually, it’s a whole group game.
Hobbies
I enjoy american football, college football, music and reading.
