About Shane
Hi, my name is Shane. I have been playing tennis since the age of 5. As a junior I played competitively in SoCal at the Open tournament level. I have also played USTA team tennis and as a member of my high school team. I have a very strong passion not only for playing tennis, but also for teaching it to others, regardless of age or skill level. No matter what the individuals goals are, I am able to help make sure that they are able to reach these goals.

Teaching Experience: 1 years

Teaching Style
I coach and teach with passion. I employ a very interactive teaching style that enables me to tailor my lessons to specifically fit each individual students goals, and facilitate their realization of these goals. I am able to do this by focusing on the right mix of fundamentals, techniques, and strategies that each student needs to make sure we progress in meeting their goals. My goal is to empower my students by tailoring a specific plan for them to be able to execute. I strive to be a coach who suggests rather than giving absolutes in the hope this leads to a student being inspired to learn for themselves in a partnership with me. The end result of all of this gives myself and the student a good understanding of where they are, but more importantly, allows a clear picture of where they can be and how to get there.

Hobbies
Reading, movies, hiking, coffee shops
