About Travis
My name is Travis and I’ve played tennis since I was in eighth grade, so for five years now. I was No. 1 on my high school tennis team all four years and won many high school tournaments. I have been coaching for three years now and my old high school tennis coach used to always ask me to take someone off to the side to teach them the basics of tennis, but in a month’s time that kid I was helping became No. 2 on our team every time. I do not plan on going to college because I’d rather just start coaching now even though I’m only 18 because I know that the experience now will allow me to become an even better coach down the road.

Teaching Style
I will always try my best to make sure the student doesn’t get too down on him or herself in a way that’s harmful for them, but I emphasize on the student learning to be self-aware of what he or she is doing wrong and try to fix it first on their own I will divide the lesson into sections:
Section #1 [20 min] — groundstrokes (forehands,backhands techniques and rhythm)
Section #2 [20 min] — volleys, overheads (if needed or wanted)
Section #3 [20 min] — serves, returns
Hobbies
I play many other sports, including basketball, baseball, football, soccer, ultimate frisbee, golf, bowling and volleyball. I like any type of music that has a decent rhythm to it.
