About Adrian
Hi, my name is Adrian. Tennis has been part of my life since I was 7 years old and I started to take tennis seriously at 12 years old. I learned to play on clay in Monterrey, Mexico. I made my way up in the rankings and won many tourneys in singles and doubles. As a freshman, in 5-A high school, I played varsity and helped win district and regionals in Southern California. I learned from the top coach and coaches in the Palm Spring area. I received letters of interest from Division 1 universities but an injury the summer before senior year kept me out for most of the year so in this year I started coaching high level juniors. I still played college tennis and obtained a degree in Tennis Management. I have been studying players, styles, and equipment for the last 7 years. Currently I work at The Tennis Shop in Austin, TX and teach at my private court. You can expect me to put you in the correct tennis equipment that will benefit you the most and teach you a specific style of tennis
that suits your ability. I have experience in video and breaking down recorded matches of students. I also will have access to Babolat Play racket which will help show, with scientific evidence, where improvement is needed.

Teaching Experience: 8 years

Teaching Style
I like to focus on players strengths and making them even better. Then work on the lesser strengths and build them up. I give “homework” to my players and like for them to do it. My lessons are generally warm up, increasing players tennis strength (forehand, backhand, serve, etc), work on lesser strength with more drills to breakdown every aspect and have a progression of drills. Then lessons always finish with serve and serve return and some point playing.

Hobbies
Golf is my new obsession, I also teach and play a lot of table tennis, I love culinary arts and have great appreciation for food.
