About Alan
My name is Alan and I am originally from Venezuela. I have a long background in tennis considering I started playing at the age of 6 and had my first tournament experience at the age of 10. I continued to develop my game by training 3 hours a day in the Venezuelan Tennis Federation. My biggest accomplishments were being at the top 30 under the age of 12 in the nation, top 25 under the age of 14 in the nation, and top 20 under the age of 16 in the nation. Moreover, after the age of 17 I started to train my brother which helped him to improve his skills in order for him to get a scholarship at Saddlebrook Tennis Academy. Finally, I still practice and every now and then I participate in tournaments around Miami-Dade County.
Teaching Experience: 2 years
Teaching Style
Depending on the level of the student I will adapt the teaching structure. However, the standard structure I will conduct is the following. First, I start with a warm up in order for the muscles to get flexible and prevent injuries. Second, I start drills to improve a stroke by feeding balls at close range. Third, continue by hitting some balls from the T-line, then go to the mid-court, and finishing in the base line. To conclude, I will play a tiebreak or any other game with the apprentice.
