About Kurt
Hi, my name is Kurt. I am from Phoenix, Arizona. I grew up playing tennis in the valley – competing in local, state, sectional, national and international tournaments as a ranked junior. I played for Scottsdale Community College and was ranked in the top 20 nationally in the NJCAA. I also played for the All-Army Tennis Team while I was in the military. I am a PTR certified professional and have extensive experience teaching every level and age of tennis player – QuickStart 10 and under beginners, adult beginners, junior tournament and high performance players, as well as college and WTA tourning pros. I am also the Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach for Glendale Community College.

Teaching Style
I specialize in fundamentals – preparing and footwork, grips. I start lessons with a warm up, drills and activities to introduce strokes and evaluate students. I use live ball and game drills to keep it fun and not boring.
Hobbies
I love to read, spend time outdoors hiking, camping, fishing. Most of all spending time with my family.
