Teaching Experience: 38 years
Teaching Style
I have an open teaching style that allows students to explore the game of tennis at their own skill level for success and enjoyment. I modify the game (smaller court size and/or equipment) so that students can be successful and limit the skills that need perfecting according to the skill level. Competition with others at their own skill level is important and motivating. When students are having fun, they learn and improve. I emphasize consistency and repetition as well a perfect practice. Part of each lesson consist of drills, game play and endurance.
Hobbies
I am a Masters Track & Field Athlete, competing on the National Level. In over nine years of competing I have won over 550 medals. I am the founder of “Ambassadors for Senior Olympics,” and I give inspirational talks on staying fit and healthy with vigorous Physical activity and diet. I coach a 90 year old man, in Masters Track & Field and I started my own Masters Track team, “Atlanta Team Elite,” for athletes 30 and older. As a Physical Educator, I have taught most sports and play or compete in most sports i.e. Tennis, Swimming, golf, racquetball, table tennis, badminton, fencing etc.
