About Matthew
Hi, my name is Matthew, and my objective is to teach tennis and continue to enrich the lives of others… on and off the court. I look forward to offering my experience with hundreds of teaching methods taught to me over my 35 plus years of learning, playing and instructing. To provide people with a hidden sense of confidence and just being of service to the game of tennis as it was for me. I have over 30 years of teaching experience and have been teaching beginner and intermediate private tennis lessons in and around the Chicago-land area since 2005. I have taught over 500 clients via private/semi-private/group settings. I played #1 singles while attending High School in MI, and played on the tennis team at the University of Michigan finishing with a combined 21 – 18 overall record in Big Ten conference play my senior year. After playing professionally on the Rossignol Tennis Circuit for 7 years, I taught at various clubs, park and rec departments and tennis centers.

Teaching Style
Individual stroke areas of the game will be taught:(Forehand, Backhand, Serve, Volley and Overhead). Court etiquette and game strategy will be introduced and instructed. Depending on your level of experience, comprehensive and specific court exercises and drills will be taught to enhance each skill set to the best of ones ability. Group lessons available and encouraged for those wanting to learn with friends, family or for couples looking to do something fun and have healthy activities to share together. I have been involved with teaching many private lessons in the Chicago area 8 years and counting. I hope to talk about your tennis goals and aspirations and looking forward spending time with you on the courts sharing something I love to do.
Hobbies
Golf, Fishing and Jazz music. As being a retired Air Force veteran I work with many veterans who are disabled and need assistance getting the VA healthcare & compensation benefits.
