About Reid
My name is Reid. I have an extensive playing background being ranked as high as # 2 in the country in the USTA Boys 18’s singles, an All-American in both singles and doubles at Duke University, finishing #1 in the country in the ITA College Doubles rankings and being ranked as high as #4 in the ITA College Singles rankings. After I graduated I decided to play on the Pro Circuit where I had some success before finally giving up my dream due to a torn hip labrum. I won one singles title and one doubles title ending my career with a career high ATP Singles ranking of #451 in the world. I come from a tennis family. My father teaches tennis for a living and he coached me, my brother and my sister (both division one college players). I have been around the game since I could crawl. I am very knowledgeable and have experience working with all player levels. I love the game of tennis and being on the court. I have just as much fun working with a complete beginner as I do with a professiona

Teaching Experience: 6 years
Teaching Style
First I ask my student what their goal is, if the goal is to get a great workout and hit a lot of balls then that’s my focus. If the goal is improvement, I will do a 15 minute diagnostic exam of all the player’s strokes to give me an idea of what we need to focus on. In order, I emphasize consistency, accuracy and power with a technically sound base.
Hobbies
I love the beach, swimming, watching movies, traveling and meeting new People
