About Thomas
Hi, my name is Thomas. I am a former Division 1 tennis player from Switzerland who has been teaching tennis lessons in the US, Germany and Switzerland for the last 5 years. Working at former ATP#34 Michel Kratochvil’s tennis academy helped me to develop my own competitive teaching style. At Michel Kratochvil’s tennis academy I mostly worked with ambitious junior tennis players. Last year, I obtained the Swiss Tennis Teaching license after attending various seminars and workshops and passing several theoretical and practical exams. I enjoy working with all kinds of athletes. Currently I am working with the collegiate women’s tennis team at Agnes Scott College. In the past I taught people of all kinds of ages and backgrounds including a men’s 50+ and a women’s Under 16 club tennis team in Switzerland. As current number 51 in Switzerland and Division 1 experienced college tennis player I will be glad to be your hitting partner and work on individual needs. I am flexible with times! Whil
e I do have a 24-hour cancellation policy, I offer makeup classes. The lessons and tutoring sessions will usually be held at Agnes Scott college. However, I am flexible and can travel if the student does not live more than 20 miles away. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve your individual goals!

Teaching Experience: 10 years

Teaching Style
I like to work with tennis players on their individual needs. I also put an emphasis on working with players on skills during match play situations. After working on a skill with a feeding drill I make sure that players can apply the newly acquired skill during a match play situation. Footwork plays an important role on the tennis court. Therefore, I often combine footwork drills with hitting drills. In order to motivate tennis players I use training goals or scoring methods in my practice drills.
A typical practice session could look similar to this: 10 min warm-up, 10 min working on rhythm, 15 min acquisition of new skills, 15 min applying newly learned skills in match play, 10 min serve and return

Hobbies
Soccer, snowboarding and traveling
