About Trey
My name is Trey. I am from Troy, MI. I have been playing tennis since I was 3 years old. My Dad and 2 of his brothers are USPTA P-1 tennis pros. I am getting my certification this October. I have been teaching tennis since I was 14 in the summer of 2006. I teach tennis out at Deer Lake Athletic Club in Clarkston, Michigan. In 2009 my final year in Juniors, I was ranked 83rd in the Midwest and in the top 860 Nationally. I signed my National Letter of Intent to Grand Valley State University where I played my freshman year (2010-2011). At Grand Valley, I was a doubles specialist at #1 Doubles. The next year, I decided to red-shirted and transferred to Wayne State University. My red-shirt sophomore year, I was a doubles specialist again at #1 doubles for Wayne State. In the 2013-2014 season, I am playing #1 Doubles and #6 Singles. I have another year left of NCAA eligibility. I am getting my degree from Wayne State University in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Social
Studies.

Teaching Style
My teaching specialties are serves, volleys, and strategy. I emphasize dominating the court (physically, mentally, and through court positioning), foot work, setting up plays not going for outright winners, attention to details, and definition on strokes. I structure lessons differently. It depends on what I feel the lesson needs to work on or what they feel they need to improve or a combination of both. I work on something until it is perfect. When I mean perfect, I mean that my lesson can hit the ball with the correct for over and over again.
