Our 12 Favorite Hot Shots of 2016

From Challenger events to finals of Grand Slam tournaments, there was top notch shot making this year. We scoured the internet for the most fist-pump-worthy shots of 2016 and came up with some winners. In no particular order, here’s what we dug up.

Aga Radwanska – Qatar Total Open

If you have a hot shot list without Aga Radwanska then you’re doing it wrong.

Francis Tiafoe – Dallas Challenger

The young man has got what the kids call #swag.

Nick Kyrgios – Mutua Madrid Open

When you care as little as Nick Kyrgios you go for big shots, but it takes talent to actually pull them off.

Dustin Brown – Bergamo Challenger

Dustin Brown may have never quite made his mark on the top 25, but he is a bonafide hot shot legend.

BONUS HOT SHOT

This is 1B to Brown’s behind the back shot, because hitting the frame and turning it into a drop shot was a bit too much luck for me to handle.

Kei Nishikori – Miami Open

Kei exacts revenge on Kyrgios for the tweener lob, and what makes it even sweeter is this outrageous get was on match point of the tournaments semi-final.

Victoria Azarenka – Melbourne Open

There is something so satisfying about a shot around the net and Azarenka makes it look easy.

Rafa Nadal – The French Open

Speaking of making it look easy, Rafa Nadal makes the most difficult shots look routine. Walk in the park for him.

Lleyton Hewitt – Australian Open

Lleyton Hewitt called it quits on his hometown tourny Aussie Open, so we had to acknowledge him turning back the clock, even if for just a shot.

Barbora Strykova – The French Open

Not often do you see a hot shot where Radwanska is on the losing end. She did however, pull off her own almost butt shot before the real butt shot.

Alexandre Sidorenko – Saint Brieuc Challenger

This might be our favorite hot shot of the year. Audacious, unique, and oh so confident. Love it.

Constant Lestienne – Szczecin Challenger

Another nothing-to-lose challenger pulling off a cocky trick shot. The trend of 2016, Challengers maybe spending a bit too too much time on trick shots.

Aga Radwanska – Indian Wells

Have to end with the Queen of the hot shot. Not just her one from Indian Wells but her four best from over the last four years. Enjoy.
