If the world were a high school, Taylor Swift’s friend group would be the popular crowd that every girl is dying to get into. While her exclusive clique is composed of models, actresses, singers and one Scottish DJ, Tay may have just added an athlete to her inner circle, as Serena Williams joined the gang onstage during a “Bad Blood” performance in London’s Hyde Park.
It’s no surprise that Serena, the planet’s most lucrative female athlete and queen bee of the sporting world, got invited to sit at the coolest table in the cafeteria. But just three days prior to attending the concert, Serena tweeted that “Bad Blood” was her “anthem” and she couldn’t wait to see T-Swift in London, leading us to believe that the world’s No. 1 tennis player was a fangirl just like the rest of us wannabes.
How naive we were.
No stranger to large crowds, Serena showed up onstage to greet 65,000 spectators. Her black and white ensemble matched the rest of the crew’s outfits, further affirming her status as Swift sidekick.
After the show, Serena posted a picture with Caroline Wozniacki, who was apparently not good enough to join the other top Swifties for the “Bad Blood” performance. Try again when you get your first grand slam, Caro.
