“Try Tennis Free” Campaign Coming in May

Tennis coaches and facility managers nationwide are joining forces in May to offer free tennis lessons and clinics to anyone interested in the sport.

The “Try Tennis Free” campaign is a promotion put on by the Tennis Industry Association in conjunction with the United States Tennis Association, United States Professional Tennis Association and Professional Tennis Registry. The goal of the campaign is to introduce new and returning players to the sport of a lifetime, as research shows that 65 percent of those who start tennis lessons through introductory programs continue playing.

Tennis coaches and facility managers who wish to participate can sign up at PlayTennis.com. You’ll be able to choose the parameters of the program, so whether you want to offer a play day or class, it’s up to you. Those interested in introductory courses will be able to contact you through the PlayTennis.com database with the information you provide.

If you would like to participate as a student or have a friend who you think should try tennis, visit PlayTennis.com and search for programs by submitting your city, state or zip code.

If you’re a coach, we hope you’ll take advantage of spreading the joy of tennis to others through this inclusive program. And if you’re a player, we hope you’ll encourage your friends to participate in this completely free program that is sure to get everyone who joins excited about tennis.
