About Carlton
I am a product of the Philadelphia National Junior Tennis League. I began playing at age 9 and advanced throughout the ranks from novice to advanced player, junior instructor to head coach in 1998. The skills I acquired during these years were refined with private lessons on the clay courts of the Philadelphia Tennis Club and indoor instruction at the Arthur Ashe Youth Tennis Center.

I competed in USTA tournaments as a junior and an adult, on district and sectional levels. I played No. 1 and No. 2 singles for the Franklin Learning Center High School of Philadelphia’s varsity tennis team receiving second team all-public honors my sophomore and junior years. I finished First-Team All-Public No. 4 overall my senior year leading my school to its first and only Public League Championship appearance. I then attended Kutztown University and played on the men’s lacrosse team while pursuing a professional tennis career until graduating with a B.S. in telecommunications in 2002.

Teaching Experience: 16 years

Teaching Style
I structure my lessons based on the needs of the individual student or group. Each tennis player has different needs and tennis goals and I believe tailoring a lesson plan gives us the best results and maximum fun.

Hobbies
Lacrosse, soccer and hiking
